On December 7, 2018 we held our first gala for A Giving Circle and we had a lofty goal of raising $100,000 for five local nonprofits. Not only did we reach our goal, we surpassed it and were able to raise $112,500 for Boise Rescue Mission, Boise’s Got Faith, Dress for Success, Feed the Gap and the Wyakin Foundation.

2019 Holiday Gala & Live Auction

On December 14th, 2019 we increased the scope and impact of this year's holiday gala and raised over $172,675 for our three local nonprofits - Boise Bicycle Project, Family Advocates and Idaho Backcountry Veterans (scroll down for feature videos of each group). This was an incredible event emceed by the one and only Mark Johnson. Mark has hosted and attended thousands of these nonprofit galas and described this one as "one of the most incredible" he had ever seen.

Boise Bicycle Project - 2019 Recipient

At our 2019 auction gala, Amherst Madison and A Giving Circle donated over $50,000 to Boise Bicycle Project (BBP). Boise Bicycle Project (BBP) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit community-oriented cooperative that promotes the personal, social, and environmental benefits of bicycling.

Family Advocates - 2019 Recipients

Rachel Flichel, Executive Director of Dress For Success Boise Valley explains how they turned giving into action. The "Little Black Fashion Truck" is stocked with clothing and accessories to help women in need dress for job interviews. This Idaho nonprofit has been providing this service for over 20 years. Dress For Success was gifted over $14,000 which covered the majority of costs for the mobile fashion boutique.

Feed the Gap

Donations from A Giving Circle's fundraiser for local Idaho nonprofits raised over $16,000 for Feed the Gap, Inc which allowed the organization to open their program in two new school districts this year for hungry children in Idaho schools who do not qualify for free or reduced breakfast and lunch. WYAKIN FOUNDATION

The Wyakin Foundation is a Boise, Idaho based nonprofit organization that assists injured and wounded military veterans make the transition to civilian life through successful education and career opportunities. A Giving Circle was able to raise nearly $40,000 to donate to the Wyakin Foundation which directly resulted in the program's largest enrollment numbers in their organization's history.

Boise Rescue Mission

In this follow up interview, Reverend Bill Roscoe, CEO and President of the Boise Rescue Mission shares exactly how far a donation of $14,000 can go. He specifically relates it to the operating costs and budget of daily meals that are served at their various facilities throughout the Treasure Valley. A Giving Circle is an annual fundraising event that spotlights local nonprofit organizations such as the Boise Rescue Mission.
