JOB SUMMARY:

We are in search of the individual who can step alongside our marketing and creative services team to
assist them through participation in various stages of the creative process. This dynamic position will
support the Amherst Madison Brand Marketer and/or Marketing Director with whatever projects they
may have at the time. The ideal candidate will be contributing to design projects to support our
rebranding, as well as creating marketing and sales collateral for the brokerage team. We are looking for
someone who enjoys blazing a new trail for others to follow and who has extremely high personal
integrity, drive for excellence, and a passion for working together with a team. This candidate should be
prepared to work in a fast-paced team environment and learn as much as possible along the way.
The employee is expected to work the normal business hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with an hour
designated for lunch.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Illustrative only and may vary by assignment)

Requirements:

o 1+ years of graphic design experience with a graphic design firm, advertising agency, in-house
corporate graphics department or 3+ years of freelance/ equivalent work experience.
o Assists Sr. Graphic Designer with interpreting creative briefs and solving our clients’ needs
through visual solutions
o Fluency in Adobe Creative Suite Illustrator, InDesign Photoshop, and Microsoft Office
o WYSIWYG web editing, Squarespace, Wix, or WordPress/plugins
o Passionate and skilled in branding, mood, color, and artistic design techniques
o Strong knowledge of typography, hierarchy, alignment, and placement
o Experience in composition and layout design, using photography and considering balance, flow,
composition, and white space
o Manage copywriting, ensuring consistent tone and voice- both short and long formatso Successfully blend strategically defined business objectives with a brand-oriented visual aesthetic
o Contributes to the team’s overall strategy, able to articulate ideas and brainstorm in creative
meetings and presentations+ Bring innovative ideas to the table that help direct the future of
the brand
o Ability to effectively take direction and work both collaboratively and autonomously
o Have a good grasp of project time requirements to be able to meet deadlines, client
expectations, and avoid over-commitments
o Work well under pressure, exercising good judgment as well as good interpersonal skills
o Produce proofs for feedback from management and adjust work accordingly
o Continue to visually evolve the brand as the brand continues to evolve and grow
o Actively participate in assigned new business development efforts
o Must be a self-starter who can research and pitch content ideas independent from provided
outlines

QUALIFICATIONS AND ATTRIBUTES Required

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Working knowledge of social media marketing and paid advertising techniques.
Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, Microsoft PowerPoint/Word/Excel.
Ability to meet multiple deadlines
A strong willingness to learn – Knowledge and professional development are #1.
Energetic self-starter who is able to work well in a small team and independently

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND; WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to

This employee must have sufficient mental capability to effectively manage subordinate employees and
administrative functions, conduct telephone, video and in-person communication, must be able to
coordinate and conduct detailed financial planning and audits to a professionally certain level of exactness. Although most work will be conducted within an office environment where the noise level is
moderate, the employee may be expected to work from home, or while on business-related travel. The
employee will be required to sit, stand, bend, stoop, grasp, type, operate a 10—key calculation , and
reach repeatedly and may be required to lift up to 25 pounds.

DRESS CODE:

Dress code to be defined as business professional. This position, in particular, is to set a leadership tone
at the office in terms of a high class of professional attire. The following are not allowed: jeans (unless
designer and high quality), shorts, open shoes without a heel, t-shirts, yoga pants, sweat pants, or
anything with holes or excessive wear. You are the first and last thing people will see and remember. If
you need a stipend to purchase a few business professional outfits, please ask and it will be provided to
you. If you need further definition as to what is “business professional” attire, please reference Google.

TRAVEL:

Travel is not required for this position.
